  • Kneading: After machining and the sieve, the clay is mixed with water and without the addition of chemical additives.

  • Hand pressing: The earth taken in adequate amounts, is first sprinkled with river sand, then pressed into the mold, to give it the classic form of the slab.

  • Drying: All products by Perugino Cotto have natural drying, lasting about five days, during which the artifacts are cleaned and turned over several times in order to obtain a high quality product.

  • Cooking: The cooking step occurs with wood and lasts for 5 days until the attainment of a temperature of 1070 ° C which confers resistance to artifacts.
